Cookies and Javascript
Cookies are little text files that are stored on your computer for a specific duration. You as a user can choose whether you would like your browser to store cookies. You also have control over the kind of cookies you would like to allow. Cookies can be used for specific purposes:
- Session Cookies: These cookies are saved only as long as you are browsing our website. Your browser will discard the cookie as soon as you close the browser or after a certain time of inactivity on our site - usually within 30 minutes. After that, all information about you will be deleted.

Please note that Fitne uses Session Cookies exclusively.
An increasing number of websites use javascript to enhance user experience and convenience. Some of our content uses javascript if it is enabled, but should still be usable when javascript is disabled. -
You may need to re-install both QuickTime and Macromedia Shockwave Plug-ins in the correct order. We have discovered that some operating systems will not install the desired plug-ins correctly unless they are done so in a certain sequence. The correct order is as follows:
- Un-install both QuickTime and Macromedia Shockwave Plug-ins.
- Re-install QuickTime first, following all the on-screen instructions.
- Re-install Macromedia Shockwave, following all the on-screen instructions.
- My browser gives me a certificate error. What should I do?
- Sometimes students access our site after they have logged on to a university proxy server, which uses a certificate that identifies it. Our site does essentially the same. This can result in a warning that is issued to you by your browser saying that our site has an invalid certificate. In case your institution is using IP-based authentication, simply log out an then go directly to your VLRC starting page. You will automatically be logged in as a user of the institution which matches your IP address.
