Description
The IV Therapy series provides a comprehensive treatment of this important nursing skill. IV Therapy begins with an exploration of the key elements of IV fluids and discusses the various delivery systems available. The program gives step-by-step instructions using high-quality video to start, maintain and discontinue IVs. The program further explains some of the complications of IV therapy and how they can be prevented.
Also covered are techniques for medication administration through IV piggybacks, IV push, and heparin/saline locks. Case studies challenge the learner to apply critical thinking skills to a variety of situations.
