FITNE is an organization serving nursing schools and healthcare institutions throughout the United States and abroad. FITNE promotes the use of technology in healthcare education by developing and distributing multimedia software.

FITNE is a principal provider of multimedia production services for some of the world's leading healthcare publishers. An estimated 500,000 students and trainees have been educated with FITNE software since the company's inception in 1987. FITNE is headquartered in Athens, Ohio and maintains complete video and audio production facilities.

As we build upon past successes, FITNE remains committed to finding innovative ways to apply interactive media to solve real-world problems. Our latest effort is the Virtual Learning Resource Center which brings audio and visual resources to the computer screens of students and learners who are enrolled in distance learning courses.

The Virtual Learning Resource Center is a valuable resource for any nursing student or healthcare institution. The wide array of courses creates a library of information conveniently available through the internet.

FITNE's Virtual Learning Resource Center (VLRC) offers an array of online multimedia resources for use in distance education. Students can access these resources anytime and anywhere through the internet, allowing for more convenience and flexibility while proving to be as effective as a classroom.

These online resources can be used in e-learning courses, as well as supplements for traditional courses. The FITNE VLRC provides dynamic media resources which can help to:

  • Provide alternate learning experiences
  • Remediate deficiencies
  • Reinforce nursing content

These full-motion multimedia resources provide students with the same educational experience that can be found in on-campus learning centers. Schools of Nursing and Healthcare facilities can purchase a yearly subscription that allows faculty, students and staff to access multimedia resources on or off campus. Individuals can also purchase individual titles at a per title price.
